Leora Halpern Lanz is Associate Professor of the Practice at Boston University’s School of Hospitality Administration teaching the advanced strategic marketing and digital marketing courses, which work with hotels and restaurants in the city of Boston for “real time” marketing challenges. Additionally, she serves as the Faculty Chair of the School’s Master of Management in Hospitality (MMH) graduate program.
Leora is also the principal of LHL Communications, a marketing communications, branding and media advisory focused on the hospitality sector. In 2017 she was named one of the Top 25 Extraordinary Minds in Hospitality Marketing by the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI), and Top Sales and Marketing Executive for the New York region/Big Apple Chapter of HSMAI in 2010. Previously, she served for 15 years as the Global Director of Marketing for a globally operating hospitality consultancy firm; for 10 years as Director of Public Relations and Advertising for ITT Sheraton Hotels of New York, and for five years as the Director of Public Relations for the Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau. Her 35+ years of marketing, branding, communications and media relations support have enabled her to work with owners and assets throughout the United States, South America, the Caribbean, sub-Saharan Africa, and beyond.
